Each year, we look forward to the Advent/Christmas season. Technically, Advent covers the four Sundays prior to Christmas while the liturgical Christmas season goes from Dec. 25 until Jan. 6 which is Epiphany (12 days of Christmas). The Advent season is intended to be a time of spiritual preparation leading into our Christmas celebration. But in practice for me and in most Protestant churches that I know about, the two get blended together.
The high points of our celebration at Copper Hill Church this year will be Christmas Sunday morning ( 9:30 AM) and Christmas Eve (5 PM). This year our message series will focus on the Carols of Christmas and what they teach us about Jesus. Don’t you just love the old-fashioned carols?

We are singing Michael W. Smith’s “Christmastime” on Dec. 20. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVrQkgLM-PQ You would have only one rehearsal (maybe 2), but it’s not very hard. You could try it. I could email you the music if you want. Blessings, JoAnne
