A small group of folks met in the fellowship hall at Copper Hill Church on Saturday morning, Jan 30, and spent about 45 minutes in prayer for the upcoming General Conference. Pastor Kelvin called the group together in response to the call by Bishop Jane Middleton for people in the New York Area Conference to sign up for a time period and meet on that day to lift the legislative gathering of the church which will be meeting in May in Portland Oregon in prayer. It is well know that the last General Conference was disrupted by demonstrations and divisions among the delegates. Since the same issues will still be part of the discussions at this general conference, there is a great need for us all to pray for divine wisdom for the leaders and delegates.
