Copper Hill Church invites neighbors to Coffee Hour
At Copper Hill Church, Sunday September 15, 2019 was designated as Back-to-Church Sunday, an annual emphasis to prompt everyone after summer travels and activities to give attention to spiritual priorities. The theme this year was simply the word "Together," a great reminder for followers of Jesus who called his followers together. Our Outdoor Reception was intended to show welcoming hospitality. Folks were invited to drop in for refreshments whether or not they had attended service and to invite friends as well. We enjoyed a beautiful day and thanks to Carolyn D'Annolfo, we have some pictures of many of our friends and family too. I've divided them into a couple sections. First are some of the more individual pictures.
Outdoor Reception is part of visibility month emphasis
This reception as well as the special Sunday theme were also an integral part of our September visibility emphasis, a month when we seek more than usual to connect with new friends and be visible in our community. As a part of this we also hosted a booth at Suffield-on-the-Green where we greeted and talked with many people and gave out over 600 faith-themed promotional items and cards with basic contact info about our church. Rounding out the month, this coming Saturday , Sept. 21, we will be hosting our annual September Tag and Bake Sale which will be happening both outside and inside, weather permitting. It is not only a great time for bargains, but also an opportunity to catch up with friends and neighbors who also come or work at the sale.
