“Fear will defeat us; faith will help us!”
This week Pastor Kelvin uses the story of Paul’s shipwreck on the island of Malta to help us learn to cope in difficult stations. By observing how Paul reacted to this crisis, we can learn some crucial lessons which will help us as well. Coping mechanisms Paul demonstrated include faith over fear, attending to the matter at hand, taking care of oneself physically, and having courage. Pastor Kelvin concluded, ” Our faith is in God who gives us courage to seize our opportunities and with the Holy Spirit’s help, take the next step into a new day.”
JoAnne’s children’s moment was an illustration using kitchen measuring tools that helped us to see the multiplied strength of united prayer.
Pastor Kelvin recovering well
Thank you for your prayers for Pastor Kelvin. He is making a good recovery from his hernia surgery. He expects to be able to be present in service again next Sunday.
