God enables abundantly
This week Pastor Kelvin helped us to understand how to avail ourselves of the strength that God has promised to provide. Speaking from the first part of 2 Peter chapter 1, Pastor taught that living powerfully begins with our experiential knowledge of God. Then we can rely on the promises God has given to inspire us and encourage us. In order to keep this positive energy going, we also need to “escape the corruption” of lust, greed, hatred, etc. as Peter admonishes us. Then we can “add to our faith” by developing in characteristics that are the result of God’s work in our lives. All this will result in living influential lives that benefit others and in being rewarded by God as well.
