Jean Schlapfer relates her personal journey with Jesus
We all like personal stories because they inspire us. Jean Schlapfer lovingly told the story of her faith in God during the message time. She began with the time she came to faith, just as Nicodemus was urged to be born again in John three. She spoke about how the Spirit moves in unseen ways in our lives to rescue us from difficult times.
She shared how God had helped her through several low points in her life and is able to bring us joy. God is now helping her with the challenges of aging. God’s unexpected blessings of family are also part of the life story that Jean shared. Her journey continues and she is claiming the promise of Philippians 1:6 “He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” She encouraged all who were listening to claim that promise in their own personal journey with Jesus.
Ms. Schlapfer has been substituting for Pastor Kelvin at Copper Hill Church ever since he arrived and was already substituting at Copper Hill before that. Her last message here was a few months ago and was titled The Armor of God.
