Creative illustrations help make the point
Today Pastor Kelvin and JoAnne talk about how our creative God helps us to be creative just at the time when we feel most boxed in by circumstances. JoAnne provides two ingenious illustrations to help make the point. One was a piece of art done by artist Therese Gena by allowing India ink to diffuse on wet paper and then using imagination to fill in the picture. The other illustration was a magic trick that appeared to remove the knot used to tie two pieces of string together. JoAnne uses it imaginatively to describe how reconciliation and forgiveness help heal and renew relationships. Pastor Kelvin focuses on a Scriptural example of a person who inventively overcame the limitations of difficult circumstances. While the Apostle Paul was in chains in Rome, he continued spreading the Good News about Jesus and he wrote the letters that come down to us today. Similarly, our creative God by his Holy Spirit can impart creativity to us to transcend the limitations of our circumstances.
