Bishop Bickerton speaks at today’s service
Today our message is by Bishop Bickerton. The theme for the service is Transfiguration Sunday, which is the last Sunday before Ash Wednesday. This is also the end of the respite week provided for pastors by the NY Annual Conference. That is the reason that the Bishop’s office provided this week’s online service. Bishop Bickerton’s message is inspiring. And the variety of participants and music highlight the ethnic diversity which so wonderfully enriches the NY Annual Conference.
Bishop’s Convocation for Pastors
This past week, our Annual Conference had arranged an online resource consisting of webinars, interviews, messages, musical numbers, and other resource links, all to encourage pastors. Topics included discussions by experts about mental health needs, inspiration from songs and Scripture, and suggestions for ways of Scripture meditation and practices for gaining resilience. I listened to nearly all the sessions and found them very helpful. One unique thing about the convocation was that it was all recorded so that one did not need to listen at the time it was happening. In fact, I did not listen to anything at the time it was recorded. I utilized the links to the recordings.
