Copper Hill Celebrates Ascension Sunday
This week Pastor Kelvin helped us to understand what Jesus’ Ascension means in our lives today. It helps us see that Jesus was truly “from above” (John 8:23) as he taught his disciples. It was a final proof of his divine origin and nature. Our response to it might well mirror that of the early disciples. First we respond as they did with worship and joy. It helps us to “fix our thoughts on Jesus” (Heb. 3:1). We also take to heart the assurance of the angel messengers that Jesus will return again someday (Acts 1:10,11). So we seek to live our lives so we are ready for that great day which the Apostle Paul called the “blessed hope” (Titus 2:13).
